These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website amstradings.lk (the “Website”) and the vehicle import and related services provided by AMS Tradings International (Pvt) Ltd (“AMS Tradings”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or our services.
1. About us
AMS Tradings International (Pvt) Ltd is a personal vehicle import company based in Sri Lanka. We assist customers in importing vehicles from Japan and India through direct auction access, and we provide related services including shipment tracking, documentation, customs clearance, delivery, and after-sales warranty.

2. Use of the Website
You agree to use the Website lawfully and not to misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt its operation, or use it in any way that could damage or impair the Website or affect other users. The content on this Website is provided for general information about our vehicles and services.
3. Vehicle listings, availability, and pricing
- Vehicle listings, specifications, images, mileage, and prices are provided for general guidance and may change without notice. Photographs may be representative and may not depict the exact vehicle.
- All vehicles are subject to availability. A listing on the Website is an invitation to enquire and does not constitute a binding offer to sell.
- Prices are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless stated otherwise. “Price on Request” means the price will be confirmed on enquiry. We make every effort to display accurate prices but are not bound by pricing errors; where an error is found, we will contact you before proceeding.
- Because many vehicles are imported to order, the final price may depend on the auction outcome, exchange rates, shipping costs, and applicable duties and taxes at the time of import.
4. Import tax calculator
Any import tax or duty calculator on the Website provides an estimate for guidance only. It is not a quotation, offer, or guarantee of the actual duties, taxes, or total cost payable. Government duty rates, exchange rates, and charges change from time to time and are determined solely by the relevant authorities. Actual figures are confirmed by us in writing for your specific vehicle and transaction.
5. Orders, pre-orders, and confirmation
- An order or pre-order is confirmed only once we have agreed the vehicle, price, and terms with you in writing and received any required deposit or payment.
- For imported-to-order vehicles, we act on your instructions to bid for or source a vehicle at auction. Auction outcomes are not guaranteed, and a specific vehicle may not always be secured.
- Any deposit, its amount, and whether it is refundable will be agreed with you at the time of order and is subject to Clause 9 (Cancellations).
6. Payment and Letters of Credit
- Payment terms, schedules, and methods (including any Letter of Credit (LC) arrangement for imports) will be agreed with you in writing for each transaction.
- You are responsible for providing accurate information required for payment, LC, and financing, and for meeting the agreed payment schedule. Delays in payment may delay or affect your import.
- Title to the vehicle passes to you only once payment has been received in full, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Import process, timelines, and shipping
- Estimated timelines for auction, shipping, clearance, and delivery are indicative only. Actual timelines depend on auctions, shipping schedules, port operations, customs, and government processing, which are outside our control.
- We will not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to auction results, shipping disruptions, weather, strikes, port congestion, changes in law or policy, customs or regulatory action, or force majeure.
- We provide shipment tracking and updates through the import process as described on our Website.
8. Duties, taxes, and customs
Import duties, taxes, levies, and government charges are determined by the relevant Sri Lankan authorities and may change at any time. Unless expressly included in a written quotation, such duties and taxes are payable in addition to the vehicle price. We assist with customs documentation and clearance, but we are not responsible for changes in government rates, policies, or decisions.
9. Cancellations and refunds
- Once a vehicle has been bid for, purchased at auction, or shipped on your behalf, cancellation may not be possible, and deposits or payments made may be non-refundable to the extent of costs already incurred.
- Any cancellation, refund, or change to an order will be handled in accordance with the specific terms agreed with you at the time of order.
- Please contact us as early as possible if you wish to change or cancel an order, and we will advise what is possible.
10. Vehicle condition and inspection
Many vehicles are pre-owned and sourced through overseas auctions. Auction grades, inspection sheets, and condition reports are provided by the auction houses and third parties, and we pass these on in good faith. We recommend you review all available information before confirming an order. Reasonable wear consistent with a vehicle’s age and mileage is to be expected.
11. Warranty
Where a warranty (such as the 3-year / 100,000 km warranty described on our Website) is offered, it applies subject to its own separate warranty terms, conditions, and exclusions, which will be provided to you. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, consumable items, misuse, accident damage, unauthorised repairs or modifications, or failure to carry out required servicing.
12. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — including text, logos, graphics, images, and layout — is owned by or licensed to AMS Tradings and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
13. Third-party links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, services, or social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Google Maps). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of those third parties. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMS Tradings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising out of your use of the Website or our services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Our total liability in connection with any transaction shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us for that transaction.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold AMS Tradings harmless against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Website or our services.
16. Privacy
Your use of the Website and our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your personal information. Please read it together with these Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka. We will always try to resolve any concern with you directly and amicably first.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on this page, and we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Website or our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
